Hi, guys. I have a friend who is going through a rough time right now. You might know them as “askalexanderofbrennenburg” or “agianthordeofzombiesjust.tumblr.com” Their dad got a job in TX, but his transmission broke before he could get there. (to fix the transmission is $1500-$2000, minimum, and can reach up to $4k) He was their only shot at having enough money to pay rent.

So I’m making this post to ask for donations - they’re trying to raise enough to buy him a plane ticket to get to TX so he can start his job, after which he’ll send them $ regularly. If they can’t raise around $300 by the end of this month, she, her two younger sisters, and her parents will be kicked out of their apartment, and effectively homeless until he can find a way to get to TX. 

Please help Xander out - they’ve offered for anyone who donates, to sketch or sew something (if you want something in particular, please request it when you donate.) Every dollar counts, if you can only afford a few, that’s okay. But if she can just get 30 people to donate $10, she’s got her goal, and they don’t have to be kicked to the streets.

MORE ON THIS STORY AFTER I GET SOME SLEEP!

Okay, so now that I slept a bit, here’s what’s going on:

There’s a roleplay account out there that’s trying to make “public awareness” that there exists a “group labeling themselves the ‘Amnesia Family’” and that the said group is nothing but cyber bullies who harass people on Tumblr and Skype. Oh, but it gets better! I’m apparently the head hancho of this little internet gang, and the public must be made aware of my wrongdoings!!!11!

Seriously, check it out, it’s so ridiculous I don’t know if I should respond or just shake my head and exhale.

On a personal note, it is really upsetting to see myself and my friends associated with cyber bullying. The group of Amnesia fans that I have met on here are some of the nicest, awesomest people I know. Cyber bullying is a serious thing, and even the thought of us being accused of such malicious acts is not only hurtful, but libel. The situation is such that there were individuals who were using some art from one vasyenka, without giving her credit for the art. When she asked them to either stop using and editing the art or give her credit, they continued using her artwork, or editing it.
These individuals were being disrespectful towards vasyenka regarding her artwork. She gave them time to take down her artwork, which they refused to do. So she made a public announcement to say that people were using her artwork without her permission, and she would appreciate if they did not. And now they are accusing her of bullying - and by association, accusing all of her friends in the “Amnesia Family” of bullying. Oh, and on a side note, the “Amnesia Family” is in no way exclusive - we’re just a group of fans of Amnesia who enjoy rping together, and welcome any and everyone who shares our love for this game. I came into this thing with absolutely ZERO experience rping, and everyone was super accepting/welcoming to me. I like to think we strive for that openness and acceptance.

But anyways, this is all so much drama for silliness. It’s just as bad to wrongly accuse someone of being a cyberbully as it is to be one yourself. It’s not bullying to ask for proper credit for your own art, or to ask people to remove your artwork from their pages. An artist should have the right to ask people not to exhibit their artwork, and they shouldn’t even have to have a reason to do so.
